Since around the beginning of 2009, I’ve used WordPress.com Stats and Google Analytics to track traffic at The Thang Blog. I’m a fan of statistics and numbers; even though I I never really expected this blog to have a huge following, I figured the graphs would be fun to look at.
So it surprises me when – on days like today – I see that WordPress.com Stats shows The Thang Blog has been viewed 50,000 times in the last year or so. And it really surprised me to see a graph like this:

February is only half-way over, so its numbers are looking pretty good, too

Sorry to those of you who have been visiting over the last hour or so. I’ve been playing with finding a new theme (to enable WordPress’s 2.7 addition of threaded comments) and have had some trouble figuring out what works. Expect some random theme changes over the next few days… Nothing should break.
Hopefully.
On the upside, you can reply to specific posts now, instead of having one giant, flat discussion!
I’ve been using WordPress Stats to take a look at statistics about The Thang Blog, ranging from number of views to what links people click while on the blog. These types of stats are always prone to error, so I take them with a grain of salt, but it’s interesting to see.
And I’ve noticed recently that, according to the WordPress Stats plugin, a lot of the search terms bringing people here have a certain…focus…
- trans fiction
- forced feminization fiction
- tg feminizing stories
- unwilling feminization
- forced fem stories
- forced feminization hormones
- transitioning forced feminization storie
- feminized fiction “pierced ears”
Now, atmitedly, the total for all these searches is under 100 (although this post will probably unintentionally bump the blog’s ratings for those terms…) But if anyone who was brought here by such searches is still around, would you care to share your thoughts on whast you found? If you don’t feel like posting, feel free to email me.

Wow! I realize that five months and one hundred posts might not actually be a huge accomplishment, but this blog is by far the longest I’ve kept at a jounral/blog/diary/etc. It’s been really helpful for processing my thoughts and what’s been going on in my life (both transitioning-related and unrelated) and I hope it’ll continue to be as helpful into the future.
Thanks to everyone who reads and comments (though I think I can count all my readers on both hands!) and hope y’all keep coming back.
