Lakes and cakes and puppies

I went biking on Sunday, down to the Museum Campus and back. A good 20 miles! Woo! Here’s a view from the southern end of my trip, looking north at the city:

The Shedd Aquarium, Lake Michigan, and Downtown Chicago

And now for something completely different. From a conversation with a friend, after we both said the same thing

Me: Great minds…
Her: Think things. About stuff! Because we totally finish each others…
Me: Cakes.
Her: Yes. God I love cakes.
Me: And it’s really great how well we work together on…
Her: ICE CREAM TRUCKS!!! DEATH BY ICE CREAM TRUCKS!!!

Finally, I saw a puppy (12 weeks old) on my bike trip. My family used to have a Westie (West Highland White Terrier) so I had to stop:

He was more excited by the birds in the water than by me

He was more excited by birds on the water than me, hence not getting his (adorable, amazing) puppy face. He’s 12 weeks old and his name is Knopf, which means “button” in German!
