Transformations

A transformation occurs when something becomes so much of that thing that it can no longer contain it, and has to become something else. – Byrne Piven (paraphrased)

She saw the beauty of men with such longing that it became a physical pain. Not an ache formed merely of jealousy, as that would be far too mundane. Not an ache formed solely of sexual desire, as that would make for another story entirely. Rather, she ached with both and with neither. She ached to see, to touch, to taste. She ached to posses, to embody, to become. To transform.
